I stopped there on the way to the movies. Although the food was good I started looking around while waiting for my order. The shades were down because of the afternoon sun. I first noticed how dirty the shades are; the greasy dirt from years of neglect. The tile walls were filthy and probably never ever cleaned. Then looking at the floor not only did it need sweeping it looks like it has never been mopped. There was dried spilled milk and definitely greasy dirt on the floor. I won't be back.

Very surprised this place was as good as it was! I was expecting a greased out disgusting filth-hole but what I found was an a-ok place to get a couple eggs after a late night out. Seemed clean enough, I'll take it.

This is a typical Waffle House that is at the corner of Lindbergh and Baptist Church Road. I had decided after I drove by one day that I would stop and see how it is since I have eaten at so many Waffle House establishments across the US on my different travels. The set up with table and chairs, counter and kitchen is almost exactly the same as it is in all the other Waffle Houses where I've gone. It was around lunchtime so they were busy, and that also means that people like this particular Waffle House to go there in the first place. Because of the lunchtime rush, the cook was busy but she was really good at what she did. She got the orders, cooked then up and sent them out with the servers in quick order time, and that always impresses me at any restaurant where I have been. I got steak and eggs. I liked it a lot; my eggs were over-easy (where did that phrase come from?), and the steak was a thinly slice sirloin which I asked for medium, and I got that. I had raisin toast and a side of grits; loved the grits...cooked like they did it down south with my father's family. My server was Heather; she was pleasant, friendly and nice. Jason, another server, was well informed and very nice, too. I always appreciate friendly, pleasant and nice servers in restaurants where I go because it's not an easy job, and customers can get pissed of at their servers rather quickly. Both get kudos for their job performance as well as the cook when I was there. I like this Waffle House and I will be back.

some restaurants come and go others come and stand the test of time, Waffle House is most definitely one of those that will be around for a while. Fine dining, ambiance, and cleanliness are things you wont find here, but what you will find is good food that's cheap. You can eat a variety of meals at Waffle house, but breakfast is my main choice, and if your looking for a great sandwich, then the Texas bacon, egg & cheese sandwich is the choice for you. they have a decent menu offering a slew of tasty treats without gouging your wallet. greasy dining at it's best is the only way to describe Waffle house, and it's enough to keep me coming back for more, that and the friendly staff...

We have been going to this particular WH for many years. I have only had breakfast. Its always good. Christy was our waitress again. She is great. Jason was on the grill & did a fine job. Since Rob left Jason is just as competent.

Seriously guys, it's the Waffle House. What more did you expect from this place? Cheap coffee, greasy hash browns, and a jukebox? Well I think that's pretty damn awesome.

I'm so embarrassed to write this review. But, looks like waffle house needs some good press. For that reason, I'm setting aside my dignity and providing you with this review. I live a couple blocks away from waffle house and I was coming home one night with some friends in a cab when we decided we were hungry. So, we did the only logical thing and got dropped off at the house of waffles. Clearly not the most sober I've ever been, we paraded in there and were greeted with smiles. I asked to try the gravy before ordering and they obliged. They were extremely accommodating and the service was great. They seemed to be in good spirits which I enjoy, too. But, Here is what made This experience so great: I remarked that I wished we were at home watching movies AND eating. The line cook reached into his back pocket and pulls out....a tablet! Then, he signs into Netflix, hands it to me and tells me to watch whatever I want. The food was fine and lived up to what I think should be expected but my experience was phenomenal! Maybe everyone should try going after 2 AM? :)

Waffle House is an everyman's kind of restaurant. Come as you are, anytime of the day. It's great.

Yep. I don't go here and for good reason. They don't even have a non smoking section which is just wrong. I always joke that you can go to this place and get the $2.99 special: a waffle, a cup of coffee and a cigarette. Also, how come I can go to International House of PANCAKES and get more of a waffle selection than at WAFFLE House?

I had serious doubts about this place, even as I pulled into the parking lot. But, it was a Sunday and I was craving waffles. My mom and I stepped in - first thing you notice, DIRT. The place was filthy. I should have followed my instincts and left - but nooo I didn't. We sat and waited a long time to be greeted by our server. Ordered 1 waffle at $2.90 and 1 regular burger at $2.75 (no fries just a burger). AWFUL - burger had a tough patty and was cold, waffle was so-so. Asked for warm syrup and I was brought a BOWL, yes a BOWL of warm syrup. You'd think they had a small syrup container. Had to use a spoon to pour syrup on my waffle - tacky (literally). As we sat and waited for coffee, I noticed mold growing on the metal blinds (a significant amount) - DISGUSTING! Seriously, the FDA needs to look into this place... I should've checked the door - they probably have a C rating. If they don't get their act together, they should be shut down!

Good food -- and awesome hash browns -- but BEYOND GROSS atmosphere. The whole place smells like grease mixed with cigarette smoke. And the open kitchen... what can I say except there are certain things that just shouldn't be in open view. Days later I am still shuddering.

oh my gosh - greasy, gross, CHEAP (I guess it has to be), a good equivalent of a White Castle chain (maybe a bit better).
